Travelling People started life in the late Sixties and were for many years the residents at the Priest House Folk Club in Castle Donington. In 1996 three of the original members, Dave Perkins, Richard Stevenson & Pete Stevenson, were joined by myself to form the current line-up. We all sang, and between us played various combinations of Melodeon, Guitar, Mandolin and Double Bass.

Our material was very varied. Ancient & modern folk songs, music hall songs, monologues and sets of traditional tunes - all interspersed with a liberal helping of chat and jokes.

We played for many different audiences (folk clubs, concerts, social evenings and private functions) and we were more than just folk musicians, we were entertainers too. In spite of the variety of events that we performed at, there was a common theme in all we did - we enjoyed ourselves, and we thought that helped our audiences to enjoy themselves too.

We split up in 2003 but our CD "Second Time Round" is still available.
